Transport Studies

After many decades in the automotive industry, Rob & Tony have diversified into the wider transport sector. This started a number of years ago using the large amount of raw data available from the various government websites, particularly DfT and DECC.

This has resulted in the creation of our foundation report, "Developing Transport Systems for the Future", which is available for free download in PDF format here.

In this report, we have compared all UK transport systems for both energy & CO2 efficiency and consumer effectiveness, using consistent units and normalised data. This includes the energy sources, storage and distribution. From this, we have indicated significant opportunities for the future.

We are now involved with the Coventry University / MIRA / Innovits consortium in creating a business case for an Integrated Transport TIC (technology & innovation centre) as part of the government's drive to gaining better commercial exploitation of the UK's renown innovation capability.

O&S Technology is playing a key role in future transport systems, and is keen to collaborate wherever it's appropriate.
